TigerLilov
Can you tell me the best settings for fastest file transfer. My connection is 1 Gbps (Upload/Download) and I am using two SSDs each with 350 GBs. Please, let me know the right settings for highest speed of copying/moving files. 0 smartz34
Download and upload threads at 20 is good Prefetch trigger: 1 MB Prefetch forward: 400 BM Prefetch time windows: 300 seconds This helped me max out my speeds (100/35) on Amazon Cloud Drive
0 Christopher (Drashna)
You've asked in a ticket and elsewhere. Creating a new drive, with larger storage chunk size may help significantly. As does setting the minimum download size to a larger value, as well. Both of these will reduce the communication overhead, and should significantly improve the speed. Increasing the prefetcher value is also a good way, but I'd recommend increasing the trigger size (to like 5-10MB) so that's it's not aggressively prefetching. Also, decrease the number of threads. 5-10 each is about the most you'll want. Too many, and it may adversely affect performance, as the provider may aggressively throttle you. You can slowly increase it, and see how it goes. But "too high" to start with will cause issues. (Also, each thread reads and writes to/from the disk, so too much IO could slow down the drive as well).
