Can't connect to service (Amazon Cloud)

Mike12421

Question

Hello all,

I'm using build 1.0.0.631 as I want to use it with Amazon Cloud. I've uploaded over 1TB of data however after coming back from a couple of days away, my computer had restarted and now every time I launch StableBit's Clouddrive, it won't connect. I've made sure that the windows firewall is turned off, but that hasn't made any difference. All settings are exactly the same as before I left.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Thank you for replying. I ended up formatting my PC and starting from scratch. Everything seems to be working now however the key is not accepted and states "no license found for this machine".

Secondly, the correct space used/available on the Amazon Drive is not being reflected correctly inside the program.

I've emailed tech support directly so that I could include my activation key.

Kind regards,

Mike.

Then I've likely responded to the ticket then.

If not, le me know.

As for the space on ACD and on the drive ... these are not necessarily going to match.  The drive in Windows reports the file size used, not necessary the amount of data written to the drive.  Meaning that deleted, remapped and some hidden data is not reported properly.

The reported usage on ACD is the raw amount of data used.  Again, this may be higher due to deleted files, encryption, partially used chunks, etc.

And by "deleted" files, when NTFS deletes a file, it doesn't scrub the data. It just removes the file system entry and leaves that data. This is how data recovery works, by reading that left over data.

This same thing happens on StableBit CloudDrive disks, as we don't scrub the data either.
