Spider99
Chris Was testing and ran into the warning below Under stand what it is as... but only two drives in the pool Now as metadata is meaning less how do i find the extra copy - also there are no options to delete the "third" copy I think it was already duplicated prior to turning dup on - so why would it try to duplicate it again?? dont care about the data as its just for testing purposes
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Well, flagged either way, so Alex can clean this up (eg, handle better in this case)
0 Spider99
Update - i removed duplication the pool deleted the extra copies but not the Extra Metadata copies - still had x3 have rebooted and back to x2 copies have had a good look around and the difference is about 3meg its either in the sys vol info directory or its buried in the normal files somewhere am doing a second duplication run on BorisTest now - with new RR card - changed at reboot
0 Spider99
Update2 - having turned off the recycle bin on the drives and drivepool drive i went to the individual drives and deleted the recycle bins initially it appeared not to make any difference but after the duplication finished overnight the pool is balanced and the drives match in space used Good
0 Christopher (Drashna)
For the ".covefs" folder, ignore this. It's hard coded to use x3 duplication and can't be changed. However, I'm guessing that you had 3+ disks and removed them? Also, try installing the latest beta build (2.2.0.727), as there are a few fixes to the balancing and measuring system. 0 Spider99
Yes it was my test system and it did have more drive before i pulled those to put in my other machine
0 Christopher (Drashna)
That may be why then. If it really bothers you, you can manually delete the folder and reboot the system. That should quiet the error. Just don't do so if you're using reparse points on the pool
0 Spider99
not an issue that bothers me as it final got its ducks in a row - was more a report for others who may come across it while - cough - re-configuring their system

0 Christopher (Drashna)
Sorry for the long delay here, but this should be fixed in the latest beta build (2.2.0.769).
