100/100 Mbit connection, Plex stuttering on low bitrate files, Google Drive

I've got the plex media player running locally with the server on the same machine as stablebit. It's buffering every few seconds on low bitrate files (2-10 Mbps), even though the StableBit is showing download speeds around 50-75 Mbps. I'm on Google Drive.

 

I have 8 download threads, prefetching enabled, 1 MB trigger, 100 MB forward, 600 second window.

 

Let me know what other information might be useful.

try increasing the cache in plex! i would also change the prefetch amount to an amount that fits your amount of threads. So threads x minimal download size. i got 400 mb (20 x 20mb) and very large cache in plex which runs ok

It doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm still getting very high download rates according to stablebit, but stalling constantly (10-20 seconds of buffering followed by less than 1 second of playback)

What provider are you using, and did you change the chunk sizes or partial download sizes?

 

Also, I'd recommend a smaller prefetch forward (like 20MB).
