runewa
Is it possible to somehow manually start the DP-service to enable DrivePool i Windows Safe Mode? I found this solution on how to enable TightVNC in safe mode: REG COPY HKLM\system\CurrentControlSet\services\tvnserver HKLM\system\CurrentControlSet\control\safeboot\network\tvnserver /s /f Don't know if this can be altered to fit the DP-service? 0 Christopher (Drashna)
Yes and no. The above command isn't quite right, based on the other entries in that subtree. This isn't tested *at all*, and is 100% "at your own risk", but you'd want to run these commands, I think: REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\DrivePoolService /d "Service" REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\CoveFS /d "Driver" REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\CoveFSDisk /d "Driver" And you may want to use "Minimal" rather than (or in addition to) "Network" ("Minimal" is normal safe mode, while "Network" is "Safe Mode with Networking"
