Carsten
I have an Seagate ST31000529AS drive attachted to to x510 Datavault server eSATA case. StableBit reports 1,8TB as the disk size, but the disk has only 1TB. See attached screen shots. I have version 2.5.2.3103 BETA
0 Christopher (Drashna)
This is on the built in eSATA port, correct? And I'm guessing you're using a multi-bay enclosure, where one of of the disks (likely slot 1) matches the information here? If so... this is unfortunately a limitation a of the Silicon Images based eSATA controller. It passes on wrong disk information to the OS, and there really isn't anything we can do. However, if you would, on the "SMART details" for on the of the disks, check the "Submit to BitFlock" option, and post the ID it generates here. 0 Carsten
Yon the built in external eSATA port. Which information do you use. BitFlock id 388I14TA. However: The Window disk manager also gets the correct size of the disk. I also tried HD-Tune (freeiware and professional version) which also reports the correct size. So still think it is a bug. 0 Christopher (Drashna)
If that is the case, it may be an issue with the "IDENTIFY" data. Could you install the latest beta build, as it should correct this issue? http://dl.covecube.com/ScannerWhs2/beta/download/StableBit.Scanner_2.5.2.3116_BETA.wssx
0 Carsten
With BETA 3116 both the wrong disk size and the wrong error scanning has gone. Thanks.
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Glad to hear it. I've posted info about this in your other thread. http://community.covecube.com/index.php?/topic/1696-wrong-read-errors/&do=findComment&comment=11835
