Scanner starts the scan from the middle and does not scan the whole drive

I put a new drive in my server today, WD Blue 5TB. I started the scan, it started from the middle and I let it finish. It was suspiciously fast and when it said 100%, it had only scanned maybe 10% of the graphical view. I marked all blocks unchecked, started the scan again and it started from the middle again going upwards.

 

What could be the problem? I attached an image.

This is an issue with the disk firmware.  Specifically with the way that it reports information about the sector sizes. 

 

This should be fixed in the latest internal betas:

Thanks, this fixed the problem. Is there any way to be notified about new Beta releases?

Well, it will get notifications for release version and for the public beta releases.  But aside from that, you won't get notifications of any other beta build.  

 

However, Stablebit Scanner hasn't been changing that much lately, so you should be fine.
