Removed physical disks and borked WHS2011's Dashboard

Desmo888

Question

Here is what I did:

Physically removed two HDDs that were part of  a drive pool.  No back ups or important data were on them, just one shared folder (movies) that were not moved prior to removing the HDDs.

Here is what happened:

Dashboard will not open, not even in safe mode.  All other server features work.

Not knowing what I am doing, I have placed the drives back in the machine and still no joy.

Any ideas or suggestions to repair dashboard?

Thanks

Have you tried rebooting the server?

If so, run "services.msc", and see if all the "Windows Server" services are running? (the "initialization" one may not be, but that's fine).

Also, could you grab the logs from "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Logs" (note, this is ProgramData and NOT Program Files, and it is hidden by default).  Email them to me at "christopher@covecube.com" and include a link to this thread.
