Yes. CloudDrive will map/mount drives that show up in my computer.

You can then use DrivePool to make a single drive from those cloud drives.

DrivePool works by making a hidden folder on the root of each drive. You can access this for recovery purposes very easily.

Assuming you pooled 3 providers and dropped a file onto the pool, by default you wouldn't know where that file had gone (it's transparent to you). But if you enabled 3x duplication, then that file would end up on all three cloud drives.

It is also possible to create rules in DrivePool to tell it where to put stuff, in which case you WOULD know where a file ended up.

So I can have a number of drives...eg, one from amazon and one from Google and one from Dropbox then pool them ..yes

Well, StableBit CloudDrive uses raw data blocks, so that's not going to display the existing content.

However, there are apps like NetDrive (I believe) that do display the normal contents as an actual drive. However, most utilities that do this completely bypass VDS and the normal disk API, meaning that we can't use them.

How did it fail? Did it give an error code?

And what version are you using?

Worst case, the Microsoft installer fix-it program may fix the issue for you:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

doesn't  support windows 10

tried stopping the service and get this

The 70643 error is a very, very common one. And unfortunately, the "wrapper" we use (eg, the install program) is not very graceful about handling it.  This error generally means that there is a pending reboot, so it can't apply the changes properly.

In this case, you'd want to reboot the system and then retry.

However, it looks like you're having issues shutting down the service. This may be normal, if you have a large amount of pending upload data.

In this case, run "services.msc", find the "StableBit CloudDrive Service", right click on it and select "Properties". Find the "Startup Type" section, and set this to "Manual".

THis will prevent the service from starting at all on the next reboot.
