Scanner never completing file system scan

kitonne

Question

Completes a file scan on the boot drive (SSD, Win7 Enterprise), then repeats, immediately, regardless of settings in setup (once every 30 days or whatever).   Latest available version.  On the boot drive, there are two partitions, one 100MB (completes the scan OK) and one 477GB which is tested in a forever loop.

Any other solution than disable the file system scan on the boot drive (which seem to work)?  Data drives have no issues.

That may not be what is going on, actually.  The percentage of the scan isn't based on the whole disk, but what is left to be scanned.  And since it tracks sections of the disk, it may be effectively just continuing to scan the drive.

You can see the status in the sector map for the drive, and this may provide a more accurate picture of what is going on:

Otherwise, could you open a ticket at https://stablebit.com/contact

Re-enabled file system scan on the SSD.  Will let it run for a while and present another screen shot on Monday COB - since there is nothing going on on the SSD (except for the OS log files), it should finish....image.thumb.png.2a8779ae56ecd28555f865ea1a3f4b19.png
