0 Christopher (Drashna)
Unfortunately, it doesn't really make sense. It's hard to get a grasp on what exactly you mean. However, I do know that we've had render issues with the list on some versions, due to the 3rd party graphical controls we use. Sorting the list or changing the theme usually fixes this. Or if you download a beta build, it should help. Otherwise, could you get images of what you mean? (That should be the easiest way). Additionally, when you have all the disks hooked up, could you use the DirectIO test app and see if that gets the information (and correct information) from your disks? http://community.covecube.com/index.php?/topic/36-how-to-contribute-test-data/
0 AMCross
using the above program gives the same results so looks like its a controller issue :-(
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Okay, That's what i figured. I'm guessing that other software packages would have the same problem as well. ANd I know some controllers are weird about port number listing.... My LSI cards ... are completely out of order (and it drives me up a wall). It lists the LSI controller before the onboard (argh), and then disks are not listed in order, but are listed basically randomly.

Question
AMCross
ok my Gigabyte z77 motherboard has 10 onboard sata ports
6 using onboard intel c220 controller and 4 using onboard marvell
if I connect up 6 sata hd then the controller numbers show ok 0 to 5
if I connect up 10 drives it appears scanner can only show one port 0 and port 1 and port 2
as per the photo drive ( I ) should be 8
backup drive should be 9
drive J should be 10
so infact I should have as below
hd blu ray sata port 0
system drive port 1
3 tb red E port 2 All On Intel C220 Controller
3 tb red F port 3
3 tb red G port 4
3 tb red H port 5
3 tb red I Port 6
3 tb red J Port 7 All on marvel controller
3 tb red K Port 8
250 gb back up Port 9
Hope this makes sense
