How long are damage errors present in launchpads warning display?
HomeServerAdmin posted a question in General
Hi Guys, this week i got my first damage error via launchpad notification from my system SSD (Kingston 60GB). There were not much free space on it since months, so i was planning to swap it with a bigger one (WD 240GB) in any case. After file scan there was only one file damaged, which was not important, so i deleted it, run chkdsk /f on it and clone the whole partitions to a newer bigger SSD. Actually everything is working fine but the damage message is still present in launchpad's notification window and the old kingston drive is unplugged lying in the cubboard. I know from other launchpad messages that there are some error mesages which will not be reset immediatelly and are shown for days after the reason is already solved/gone. How long are damage error(s) present in launchpads warning display/window? Version-Info: Scanner v2.5.3.3191 -
I just bought this software for my new server build and am really liking it so far, however I seem to have run into an issue with the drive disconnected notification. When I first installed it and was playing around with the drive configuration I wasnt quite sure how I wanted to set things up and I am pretty sure I deleted a volume that was in a current pool and got the notification. I went back a few times and recreated pools, added disks, etc. I eventually removed disks which caused the pool to go away which I am sure is the correct behavior. I have since created the two pools I want for my server, and have it all set up (currently doing duplication). I see no errors or anything showing up in drivepool. All the drives I have added to the pool are available and seem fine. The notification (the tray icon) has not disappeared or gone away since it first popped up. I can turn the notifications off and it will go away, but as soon as I turn them back on it pops back up. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: Ok, found the knowledgebase and this link http://wiki.covecube.com/StableBit_DrivePool_Q3376030 however, I do not have a windows server folder in my program files folder. After a bit of searching, I found appdata\roaming\stablebit drivepool\windows notifications, and there is one file in there, or is that a command that needs to be run from the drivepool folder C:\Program Files\StableBit\DrivePool ? But before I do anything, I want to double check and if possible follow the instructions as they are if I can locate the correct location to run it.

Why did I get SMART warning email when Dashboard shows no trouble?
MikeInMass posted a question in General
At about 3:00 this morning, the StableBit Scanner sent me a warning email: S.M.A.R.T. Failure on 'SERVER' One or more disks are expected to fail within 24 hours:WDC WD2002FAEX-007BA0 ATA Device But when I log into the dashboard now and click that drive, all I see is: "The on-disk S.M.A.R.T. check is not predicting imminent disk failure. There is no indication that the drive is experiencing a mechanical problem." I don't have another of that drive in the system, so I know I am clicking on the right disk! I downloaded "Home Server SMART 2013" and ran the disk's short test; it completed successfully. But I am still worried. Is there any way to look in the StableBit Scanner's log file and see why it sent that email?
