    How to create new pool

    Sure does, thank you kindly.
  2. Hi, complete noob with a noob level question Sorry and thank you in advance. I currently have 3x8tb drives which are full and I'm adding a 14tb drive to the mix. I was hoping to just make a big jbod pool to add/remove disks easily, as redundancy and performance is not a concern, just space. Few questions since I have never used Drivepool before: 1) Does the drive need to have a drive letter to add the free space on it to the pool? I was going to: A) Install the new 14tb drive, gpt init it (assign a drive letter if that's necessary), create 1 disk pool from it. Copy 1x8tb drive contents to the new pool, erase the 8tb drive, add it to the pool (do this 3 times) C) Set the disk order of drives to fill (new 14tb goes first, 8tb's go after) Anyone see any issues with this? I'm a simple man, and I only need a simple setup .. I think. It's basically hosting my media for Plex, and I have the whole thing backed up. I view Drivepool as adding futureproofing to add more space in the future by simply adding new disks to the pool and removing any that may be going bad without losing any data. Thanks for any advice in advance, appreciate it.
