  1. Hi guys, I update everyone with the solution that another user has recommended and that I have adopted. I took a 1 Gbit/s VPS in another provider (not Hetzner) and I installed a Wireguard server on it, then I installed a Wireguard client on my server where I use Clouddrive and I set it to forward all traffic to and from the intervals IP of Google API in the VPS in this way I have eliminated the errors, I have been using this method for a few weeks and I have not received any more errors. Side note: When I copy a file from a local disk to a cloud disk the transfer speed that Windows shows me is about 35 MB/s and I don't know if this is a problem related to this solution or to the NVMe disk where the cache resides replaced at the same time as the "Wireguard solution". I hope I was useful to someone
  2. Hello, you are right in changing the title of the topic, and so I did, thanks for the suggestion. My server is in Falkenstein, I've already opened a ticket with Hetzner, but an extra feedback certainly doesn't hurt. Have a good evening
  3. Hello, I wanted to report that the problem is solved, simply set Cloudfare as DNS servers then set 1.1.1.1 as primary server and Google 8.8.8.8 as secondary, this problem is limited to Hetzner servers. I have reported the issue to their support and they are looking into fixing it.
  5. Hello, I changed PC and I am creating from a new library on Plex with the content inside my CloudDrive disks, after having mounted the disk and assigning them a letter I proceeded to change the owner of the disk as you read in this Christopher procedure and then I mounted my disks inside a folder instead of assigning them a drive letter. I noticed that the matching on Plex is extremely slow, and by extremely slow I mean that I added a folder with 3 TV series for about 127 files and an average weight of 1 GB per file and it took about 1 hour to complete the matching, I have read that it takes longer when creating a new library than when adding to an existing library, however I am starting to think that there is something wrong with my settings that I could change to speed up the process, the settings that I have adopted I found them on the forum and I think they are good for streaming (actually I have never had problems) only in the matching phase I have always found a certain slowness. Below is the information and a screenshot of the settings Connection: 1 GB / S symmetrical CloudDrive version: 1.1.7.1391 OS: Windows Server 2016 Cache: Dedicated SSD Anyone have a good idea on how to change the settings to speed up the process? Thank you all
  6. I update the topic to leave feedback which I hope will help other unfortunate users like me in the future. My cache was present in "disk 2" which was not formatted, but the format only affected "disk 1" where the OS resided, when I installed CloudDrive he independently recognized that "disk 2" was present its cache and allowed me to reauthorize the drives, but before reauthorizing each drive I preferred to add the various Google accounts that contain 1-2 drives inside, after I pressed reauthorize on each drive and within 5-6 hours I managed to restore my cloud disks ... only one caused me problems and I had to intervene manually, it is a disk that I tried to attack in another PC, in this case I had to stop the CloudDrive daemon delete the folder hidden CloudPart- * which contained the cache of that disk and proceed with the same procedure as the previous drives, I'm happy to report that I have not lost any data. The attach process has been possible since version 1.1.7.1391 as suggested by Christopher Thanks for your support Christopher
  7. Thanks for the reply, I subsequently opened a support ticket. I will install the latest version for sure, now I have installed a fresh version of Windows, my question is: the HDD containing the CloudDrive disk cache is intact so it contains the old CloudDrive disk cache, should you delete it or try to mount the disks hoping that recognizes the old cache? Thanks Update: I installed CloudDrive which found the disks (probably through the disk I use as a cache which is intact from the format) that were however in authorization error, I tried to click reauthorize and enter the credentials, now it reports this alert message: it is about 1 hour that this is the case but the network card does not seem to generate any kind of traffic, is it the right procedure or is it better that I delete the hidden folders in the cache disk, add the Google account and try to restore? Thanks
  8. Good evening, I have a problem that maybe you can help me solve, I had drives on the PC doing a Windows update and restarting, Windows went to BSOD I'm trying in every way to restore the OS but without success, of course not being predictable I did not detach the disks, I tried to mount a disk on another PC and after the various warnings not to mount the disk at the same time on two PCs I forced the mount, knowing that the other PC was shut down and probably not resuscitable, CloudDrive returned this error to me that I paste below, how could I go about losing all my data? Please tell me it's possible. Thanks I add another information: the local disk where the cache resides is not the same where the operating system is installed, so even by making a format the local cache would not be deleted. Thanks again
  9. Hello I'm experiencing the same error as "The limit for this folder's number of children (files and folders) has been exceeded" so I switched to the latest stable version of CloudDrive now I get errors only for 1 disk while before I received errors for all my disks (5 disks) I noticed when uploading to the disk that gives me error 2.22 GB is it possible that the upload refers to the structural change of the disk? I don't remember uploading anything on that disk, do you think you need to go to the beta and force the system by manually editing the file to solve it? I have read that some users have found the disk unusable, even if experienced users like srcrist do not associate this error with the change, I would like to totally avoid finding myself in this situation. Thanks to anyone who wants to help me
  10. Good evening. I understand, I would like to know if this problem with GDrive is just that it has come out or it is a problem already known in the past. I ask this because I have been using Cloud Drive for more than a year and I have not encountered this type of problem, if it was a known and very recurring problem, what system do Cloud Drive + GDrive users use to avoid losing their data? Thank you
  11. Thanks for the answer, lately I tried this configuration which seems good and stable, but I wanted to ask why at the same time I started to have corrupt filesystems and I thought that the cause could be this sharing. Thank you
  12. Good evening, I wanted to ask if it creates any conflicts at the filesystem level or anything else this configuration: I have two PCs both with 2 network cards and a network card on both PCs is dedicated to connecting with cross-over cable to the other PC this I need to share through Windows the cloud drive disks with the other PC in this way I have access to cloud drives on both PCs. Do you believe this can cause problems? Thank you
  13. Thanks for your advice, others have also advised me this but for me this time it didn't work. Thanks good evening
  14. Thanks for the answer, I thought I could corrupt the file system in this way, however I think there is something wrong with GDrive or the cloud drive engine because like other people here in the forum we have disks with filesystems corrupted almost simultaneously I have 4 disks in 4 different accounts and one after the other they are all corrupting, I hope the developers will investigate the issue. Thank you
  15. Good evening, I write to be sure that what I'm doing is technically possible and right. After losing a 30TB data drive I am looking for a method to be able to restore my data quickly, should it happen again. On another PC I installed Cloud Drive and I'm creating backup disks using a program that syncronizes the folders in this way I would like to create mirror disks, so if in the future a disk gets damaged I can detach the disk on the "second" PC and mount it on the primary PC without damaging filesystems or anything else? That is, I would like to know if I can mount the disk on a PC, upload files to it, then unplug the disk and mount it on another PC, having access to my data and having the possibility to load data again. Thank you

    Backup system

Good evening, after declaring my disc lost forever I decided to make smaller discs that are easier to restore and set up a backup system to restore any data lost as in this case, I would have thought of creating another GDrive account (I know it is not necessary but for greater security) and I create N backup disks, the same number of disks as I normally use and with a synchronization program such as FreeFileSync to have a mirror copy on another drive that in case of emergency (disk not backup broken) I can directly mount the backup one and over time rebuild the new backup disk, I wanted to do everything with CloudDrive because I tried Drivepool believing I could create a RAID and have a parity disk (not I need data access speed, but stability) but it's not possible to do it only with DrivePool. This is what I thought, maybe it's more fair to do something else, I ask you that you are more experienced than me, I thought that a very complex system: freefilesync + clouddrive + drivepool + snapraid (for example) was less stable than a simple freefilesync + clouddrive was more stable, what do you think? What backup systems do you have? Thank you
  17. Hello, I also have a problem similar to your damaged filesystem, and I have seen others have this problem too, it makes me think if there is something common that has created these problems, perhaps it would be appropriate to investigate. I have now launched a chkdsk / f / r but my record was in NTFS and not seen as RAW, now I am at 50% in 1 week I should have finished, hopefully for the better.
  18. Christopher are you telling me to quit chkdsk / f / r? why data recovery is impossible? If I disable the checksum check can I copy the data that have a correct checksum? My aim would be to completely recover the disk or most of the data, after creating another disk again on gdrive and setting up a backup program that will mirror the disk in another, what do you recommend? Thanks for your help
  19. Good evening, to answer to Christopher but my disk has not been unmount it is always mounted but it is not possible to access it, at this moment I launched a chkdsk / f / r is almost 72 hours working and I am only 24% I sincerely hope that after this I can access the disk, finished this chkdsk do you advise me to carry out that procedure to recover the data? Thank you
  20. Good evening, tonight trying to access a disk on GDrive gives me the error that the file or the disk is damaged or unreadable I tried with chkdsk and also with repair-volume but with no result, CloudDrive gives me this error. How can I do? I have almost 30TB saved on that disk. Help please, I am desperate
  21. ok I will try to change the number of threads in upload, I will keep you updated because these warnings occur every time I send something to the drive. Thank you very much
  22. Hi guys, I have a problem with CloudDrive I hope that those who are more experienced than me can help me. Thanks I use CloudDrive with Plex and I have about 10 to 30 simultaneous streams, I have a 1gbps / 1gbps connection and the operating system and metadata both run on SSD and I never have problems using Plex even when I reach the maximum peak of 30 streams, different is when I try to upload, even having only 1 stream, CloudDrive gives me this error. After this error I find all the files loaded correctly on the drive, but I don't understand what error it is and if it can generate other problems. My configuration is this: I have 30TB drives in NTFS, chunk size is 20MB and the cache on SSD and is set 50GB + Download threads: 9 Upload threads: 9 Backgruond I/O: YES Upload Threshold: 1 MB or 5 minutes Minimum download size: 20MB Prefetch trigger: 20MB Prefetch forward: 180 MB Prefetch time windows: 30 seconds Probably something wrong in the configurations but I don't understand why if I don't upload I never get these warnings. I thank in advance those who can help me
  23. Good evening, I'm using CloudDrive with Plex I've mounted a hard drive with a Google Drive account, but every time I update my library the update lasts for an hour, I put the flag on the plex option "Run a partial scan when detected changes "my library has only 900 elements (Movies) I've tried all kinds of routing main folder> movie.mkv main folder> subfolder> movie.mkv Using CloudDrive 1.0.2.950 BETA Do you have a solution to this? do I have to give up waiting for 1 hour each time I update my library? Thank you
  24. Good evening, I have two disks mounted with Google Drive of two different accounts, whenever i boot my pc i can not access disks quickly because CloudDrive runs a disk index that lasts about 10 minutes, this happens even if the disk does not no changes have been made. is it normal or should I change anything in my settings? Thanks
  25. I solved. I write it here so other users who maybe will have my own problem will be facilitated. The disc was "Offline". go to the prompt and type "disk part". type "disk list" to see the number associated with the hard disk. type "select disk <disk number>". and lastly type "online disk". Once this is done, CloudDrive automatically recognizes the disk and assigns it a letter The only negative note is that the disk is read-only, but the data is accessible Thanks again
