  1. I was able to run repair on the stablebit install, reboot and it came back up asking for my drive key. So my issue is resolved. It resumed uploading what was in local. Appreciate the help!
  2. Since I'm only guessing at this point it was the windows update i will do the following: 1) Do a window program fix install 2) Reinstall the same version of stablebit 3) install the newest beta 4) look into restore point for windows update If all of these fail what options do i have to access my data? I'm currently using a trial - at that point is it ok for a fresh install. I'm assuming i would not have any problems with it being a trial license currently so i dont have to disconnect the license to re-use my drive or am I not understanding that process correctly? Thanks, Kirk
  3. After windows update yesterday morning i had problems with my plex media server. I had to manually install the windows media foundation package to fix it. I had 2-3 restarts in the process and all the while stablebit was disconnected. I finally had time this evening to open the GUI to see if it would reconnect and it would not. It just sits saying connecting to service until it switches to say there is a problem but continues to try to connect: Connecting to service (time) If your are having trouble connecting to the background service try restarting your computer If your having trouble connecting to a remote computer it may be behind a firewall When i try to manually start the Cloud Drive service i get the following message: The Stablebit Cloud Drive Service service on local computer started and then stopped... in the GUI i was able to see this error once also: failed to connect to the IPC Port: The system cannot find the file specified. 5. Yes that is what I'm asking - sorry for mudding up my question
  6. I have a similar but slightly different scenario I will be tackling soon - and I would like to know what steps are the best approach. I currently have a cloud drive setup with a 500gb OS ssd drive, 500gb sata drive (cache drive for cloud drive) and a 4tb NAS drive; i am pushing files on-going from the 4tb nas drive to the cloud drive. In my new machine i will have a 500GB sata drive for the OS and cache and will have 2 4TB drives in a drivepool. So my question is are the steps applicable and then the steps to convert a drivepool, or is the best approach to put the new 4tb nas drive in my old machine and setup drivepool before moving to the NAS? Thanks, Kirk
  7. I previously posted about having problems with these warnings about the HTTP Gateway timeout errors. I still get those even with a different provider but i did not have any missing chunks or issues over the past week or more. I'm now 340GB into copy a ton of data to my ACD account and last night i received an error right at the end of a few GB's on a single file being copied. Here is the last piece of the logs: CloudDrive.Service.exe Warning 0 Unable to read MFT. File record invalid. 2016-11-26 11:00:27Z 2476856083385 CloudDrive.Service.exe Warning 0 Unable to read MFTMirr. File record invalid. 2016-11-26 11:00:27Z 2476856090892 CloudDrive.Service.exe Warning 0 [PinDiskMetadata] Error pinning NTFS data. Unable to read MFTMirr. File record invalid. 2016-11-26 11:00:27Z 2476856094373 This morning when i looked just now it shows a 0 byte chunk in the file i copied last night which has not occurred in this new drive i setup once as of yet (there are the header records that has 2-3 0 byte chunks when drive was first created). So at this point im thinking clearly there is data missing from this file. So i deleted it from my drive view and was prepared to just re-upload it. When i did so the chunks that were created were NOT removed and still remain. So my question is should it not have removed all of the chunks created during that 2-3 hour copy period and what do i do now? Is it safe for me to try re-upload now? and is data now orphaned on the drive? Here is a screenshot of last few chunks:

    Optimal Plex settings?

Even if you disabled prefetching all together, shouldn't plex media server handle the buffer optimally as it does on your network over over the internet? It just seems like Plex knows the bandwidth it will need and it should be sufficient to keep up unless im missing something?
  9. Its not that it can't be done...its that it would take a web based mechanism to queue and/or lock multiple pushes to the drive from each computer. This mechanism could only need to know the IPs of the computers with access and if a copy is in progress or not - all others are disabled until the copy is completed. Not sure i agree that any encrypted data would be violated here just a secured list of computers that are authorized to push to a mount. Doesn't sound like a focus for stablebit though...
  10. I never received a response on the log data i sent in. Let me know
  11. Ok i looked back at your instructions and followed the path to create a request and attach the zip file of the service folder. Its submitted...
  12. I turned on trace logging, attempted to retry drive mount. In the process i got a UI exception that i submitted to report to your server: Then after submitting the exception i received a red error from top left as follows: In terms of the actual log files I'm assuming you want some files stored in the log folders. I have attached the current days Service\Logs file. Did you also want any of the encrypted error files that were generated at 7:51 CST when it errored? CloudDrive.Service-2016-11-11.log
  13. I ran checkdisk on correct hard drive and installed the new beta version. I'm not unable to mount the drive getting the following error: Should i have completely removed stablebit and then re-installed? I tried the 'Retry' and when the drive shows I also tried manually re-authorizing with no success as it continues to fail to mount after a minute or so. Suggestions?
  14. I upgraded my internet to a faster speed and verified i was getting solid connection with no packet loss. I then sent a 50gb block to start copying. Everything went well until the last 64mb in which it failed with this error below and kept trying for 6 hours while i was working. Up until this point the logs showed server throttle normal activity and a sporatic http I/O error and Unable to read MFT. CloudDrive.Service.exe Warning 0 [ioManager:34] [W] Verification FAILED: Offset=0x0000001142C00000, Length=6,836,224. 2016-11-11 01:58:21Z 1743951062874 CloudDrive.Service.exe Warning 0 [ioManager:34] Error performing I/O operation on provider. Retrying. Write verification has detected a data inconsistency when uploading data to the cloud. 2016-11-11 01:58:21Z 1743951068895 This behavior is not indicative of a poor internet connection since as soon as i uncheck the upload verification box it starts finishing the last chunks. I also had run checkdisk with option to repair anything sectors overnight with no change - however i'm just now remember the drive i ran it on may not have been same hard disk that the stablebit cache is on. I will run scandisk on the other drive tonight and upgrade to this new version and test again - but i need to resolve these issues before i can really commit alot of data up to the cloud and buy the product to use long term.
  15. My upload speed is very limited, but my latency and reliability of the connection is usually pretty good. That's what I'm trying to understand here. Is there flaky behavior when below a certain threshold of available bandwidth (meeting timeouts for larger chunk size etc?). The one thing i dont understand is the loop activity occurring at certain points. If its connectivity quality i can assure you that im not receiving any packet loss that would cause degradation hours of period of time that it continues to fail. In any case, i will install the beta version and test more. I will also be switching internet providers in the next few days to a much higher offering upload and download. I will respond again with findings. Thanks!
  16. So i've been struggling to get off the ground with pushing files to Amazon Cloud Drive using Stablebit Cloud drive. I'm actually testing this product along with some other individuals i know for similar purposes and I'm the only one of us that has had this many problems. Here is the behavior that I'm seeing... Typically i'll copy a not so large set of files (say 5-15GB), then most of the time during this file copy (usually towards the end if not the last few chunks) it will just continuing retry and fail. Here are some of the errors I'm seeing (these are in no particular order and have happened many times in the past couple of weeks). Also, to resolve this issue re-authentication does not typically work and the only way i can bypass is it will usually work with i disabled the download verification. I note that I have a low upload bandwidth with my poor internet (1.4mbps) - is it required to have a certain upload speed to be able to push to stablebit? Please let me know if you have any suggestions or thoughts on what may be happening here.
