  1. I'm a long time user of both DrivePool and Scanner and love the software! I'm having a bit of an issue that perhaps someone can help me with. I have recently rebuilt my server (all new hardware) in terms of MB, CPU, etc, and streamlined my hard drive setup (eliminated all USB drives and now all are either internal SATA or external eSATA enclosures. It in a Windows 7 Ultimate box. I have 24 hard drives (14 external in 3 TRxM eSATA boxes) and 10 internal. When Scanner is running, every few seconds, the activity lights on ALL my drives (most noticeable on the externals, just from a standpoint of the sheer number of LED's!) are activated and it is clear that the drives are either being "pinged" (I have no idea if that's the right word) or something. DrivePool shows no "pool activity" and Task Manager/Resource Monitor shows no HD activity. Still, I can hear the drives being briefly accessed, and again the activity LED's for each drive light up almost in a "chain" (one immediately after another). When I deactivate the scanner service, this all stops and the drives go back to only showing activity for actual drive access. The pool still functions just fine, and all normal drive activity remains. I really want to continue to use Scanner, but I can tell that whatever is happening is causing additional and continuous stress on the drives. I deactivated stopped all drives from being scanned, so Scanner is not doing any actual scanning of drives when this behavior is exhibited (at least from what I can tell from the UI). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    License from v1?

I had purchased a license that was the "two for one" awhile back. This key activated both DrivePool and Scanner on my WHS machine. I deactivated the license and have installed it on my new Windows 7 Ultimate Server (Long story why I didn't go back to WHS) after a major hardware upgrade. When I activated DrivePool, it worked like a charm, when I went to activate Scanner with the key, no dice. Should this still work like this or will I need to purchase a new license for Scanner v2?
