  1. This happens to me regularly. Not sure why, but one of my uploads hit 900% today before it errored. I'd say more than 50% of the uploaded chunks go over 100% while it tries to upload them. My ACD drive has been a huge pain the last couple days, but after manually destroying it (Stablebit sat there for hours saying it was destroying it but wasn't making any progress) and recreating it, it seems to be doing ok so far (still uploading way more data than it says it needs to, but isn't erroring up the way the old drive was).
  2. From what I've seen posted here, it seems like it's more of them trying to stop developers from putting in any kind of encryption into their applications. You, as a user, can probably still get away with uploading encrypted content with no issue. Amazon just doesn't want to make it easy for you. ------------------- Also, I use ACD, but only because it's unlimited (I don't have an unlimited GDrive), but Google Drive is likely the safer bet (and better performance too).
  3. That's great to hear. It'll be nice to use the latest version without worrying about keeping the old versions around. I wasn't too keen on buying a license for the virtual machine where I kept version 631.
  4. I skimmed through the older posts but missed comments on this, so I apologize if this is already answered, but has something been changed in the very latest version of CloudDrive in regards to the creation of drives on Amazon? I installed the latest version of CloudDrive and was able to connect to my already established drive with no problems (I created one drive on beta 631). That's normal behavior, but I was also able to create a new 10tb drive, seemingly without issue on version 802. I was under the impression that the new versions were unable to do this since Amazon would ask for a developer key or something which would prevent new versions of CloudDrive from creating new drives. Has this changed? Also, this is a more general question, but is there any performance issues with using one drive between multiple computers? If I had 3 or so computers all hooked up to a single drive on CloudDrive, modifying and/or using the contents of that drive simultaneously, would that cause any major issues or possible data loss?
  5. Speaking of fresh posts on reddit today; it seems that even encrypting your data won't save you from losing your account. They can terminate your account for any reason they'd like and one or two people on r/datahoarder have reported that Amazon closed their account even though all of their data was encrypted prior to being uploaded (this is after the post on r/plex was made). The affected users have said their initial attempts to contact Amazon support got them nowhere, so they're going to try again today and report back how it goes.
  6. So I'm a new user who wants to try this product out for the first time before buying it, but the only storage provider I want to use at this time is Amazon Cloud Drive (I might add others later). After skimming through this thread I see that I'm supposed to use version '1.0.0.631', but is that a relatively stable build, or should I update to a later build after initially setting up my drive on 631? I noticed that the new versions have backwards compatibility with drives created in older versions. Does this mean that, no matter what happens with your dealings with Amazon, I will always be able to access my Amazon Cloud Drive with this application? My concern is about being in a situation where I've uploaded a lot of encrypted data to Amazon, only to have no way to decrypt it or access it when I really need it (like if my local backups die).
