  1. Thanks
Scuro reacted to phhowe17 in Windows 11 attempts to defragment drive pool - solved(?)
While chasing a different issue I noticed that my Windows Event logs had repeated errors from the Defrag service stating  "The storage optimizer couldn't complete defragmentation on DrivePool (D:) because: Incorrect function. (0x80070001)".  Digging further, I found that the Optimize Drives feature had included the pool's drive letter in the list of drives to optimize. It has also listed the underlying drives in the pool, but that should be OK
To remove the drive pool from optimization, open Disk Optimizer, in Scheduled optimization, Change Settings, then Choose drives, and then un-select the pool drive.

As an update, I have been informed that the latest beta now includes this feature.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear about the PSU.  That ... can be pretty scary, actually!

As for the balancing, yeah, I've seen that myself and there is a ticket (or two) open about the issue already.

Well, could you do two things:

    Install this version:
    http://dl.covecube.com/DrivePoolWindows/beta/download/StableBit.DrivePool_2.2.0.820_x64_BETA.exe

There are a couple of duplication issues that were introduced recently and have been resolved in this build.

After doing this, and rebooting, stop MySql, run the resolution in the UI (the "Duplicate now" option), and once it's completed, restart MySQL.  Once you've done that, it should continue to work properly.
