Just started using Google Drive for Work, which is perfect! I max out my upload, which is awesome! Uploading 100 mb chunks, which are uploaded in a second, giving me max speed! HOWEVER i noticed with download, it seems to download only 1 or 2 mb at a time, using an offset in the chunk for download. As i have just as large download as upload, i would prefer that this download size could be defined on my end, so that i can select that to download the full chunk, instead of just a small part of it. These small part downloads makes the download speeds be really low, as speed is lost due to the thread having to start up again with a new partial download. With 20 threads doing 1-2 mb at a time, it is hard to utilize high speeds, as the speeds never get up before the part is done due to the low size. It's 50-100 downloads for the same 100 mb and with the delay in start of part dl, it means A LOT slower speeds Is it possible that you can make this an option we define ourselves ?

how are the speeds on google? i got only around 40 mbit download with 20 threads eventhough i got 1gbit line

Been a while since you posted a new version, so i was curious if you have major changes coming and/or new providers. would be perfect with the usual amazon update as well

Got any good replies ? Are we maybe even able to avoid upload verification looking forward ?

here is what i found under error reports. Again a .rar you have to rename reportsError.log

here is the log from yesterday. the .log is actually a .rar because the log was too big. but .rar wasnt allowed so had to change the extention to allow it :-) so remember to change extention first ended up deletibg my drive after everything fucking up. besides the first issue i also encountered: object is not a reference error a system crash with 2 drives on the same provider (twice) CloudDrive.Service-2015-12-18rar.log

deattaching and attaching didnt fix the problem. even tried to force a new recover but no result. in general the drive is just broken for new uploads - old files works well. pretty serious bug/error as random power surges can happen for everyone. .428 windows server 2012

Hi, Yesterday we had a power surge, which let to my computer going down and resetting. When i opened Stablebit i had to run a recover and everything went fine and the drive is now running again. However every time i try to copy something to the drive i get a "The file already exists" and when i click replace i get the "Error 0x80070319: The volume repair was not successful." Seems that it creates a 0 b file Has the drive gone corrupt or can i fix this in any way? - haven't tried detaching and attaching again, as there is an upload in progress will try afterwards though!

might just be them making a mistake which will be boticed the next time :-) hopefully you replied in the samme manner as you did the thread as it visualizes it a lot better :-)

cant be because it is the transfer to my virtual drive (in this case drive E:) so it is before upload.

After a reboot i havent experienced the complete timeout again. However i still encounter that the UI shows 0 bits/s up and down, while transferring large files to my virtual drive. Troubleshooting I/O Threads shows nothing active at all. These only starts after full transfer After around 7.5 gb, the transfer speed goes from 140 mb/s to 0 bytes/s - 5-7 mb/s (seems to be in small intervals it goes up from 0 bytes/s to 5-7 mb/s and then back down to 0 bytes/s). Is it due to full encryption that there is this limited speed while transferring to my local drive ? The disk with the cache has plenty of space, so it's not a spacing issue. 200 gb takes around 9 hours to transfer to my virtual drive with this speed, before the uploading even starts. (unless it is uploading but just not showing it in the UI. Version is .422 Experimental Amazon Cloud Drive 200 GB Cache 50 MB chunks Full drive encryption 987 gb space left on drive.

Hi, I noticed that after a write thread finishes the upload verification downloads the content to check if its correct. however while it downloads no new upload threads are started - shouldnt it start uploading the next chunk, while it downloads and checks the former one? Guess you are using some sort of queue system and that the file could just be added to the queue if it needs to be reuploaded. Any specific reason why it runs like this? could imagine a little more speed if it can continue upload meanwhile

.422 400 GB cache Amazon Cloud Drive 10 MB chunks Problem started after ~10GB - the drive stalls and the label says ?. If i click the + to add a new drive and click back, the program goes into a mode where i can't go back and fourth anymore and is broken. Seems as if the drive times out and i need to press update manually to get it back (unless i clicked the arrow back, then the program gets stuck and i can't press the + where i can press update) I can see that after the transfer is complete the UI shows threds being uploaded/downloaded if i go under the troubleshooting and open up the window, The Drive UI is just like the attachment with white/black crossed over showing no details

Just got this error while adding files to my drive - now its not usable Know amazon is experimental, therefore no important files there UPDATE: Pressing update on the main, made the drive available again. This however happens everytime you transfer several gb to the drive. Seems like it times out (no treads will run meanwhile either according to the UI) The transfer speed is also severely limited - goes from 140 mb/s to around 3-6 mb/s - is this due to the encryption?

Still hope that this at some point can be made possible as it increases the usage possibilities alot - however i know its not now or in the near future :-) using plex i could just let my family stream through me - however would be smarter if they were not reliant on my server. The sync feature just uses more space on the cloud somewhere and then im limited to the providers for the sync feature :-)

But it would require the bandwidth to be perfect from the spot where you share it. The other way it would be bandwidth from the provider

Hi, i know it has been talked about before, but wanted to do a request thread for it. It could be nice if you can attach a drive at multiple locations through a read only mode. i can have data which other family members would want to connect to to see (home videos). This way i control what is uploaded on my attach and they can purely read on theirs. This should work without corrupting data :-)

Just out of curiosity, did amazon write back? Seems really close to amazon getting back on track, so really look forward to it. And another question: Is it possible to get larger chunks enabled on amazon ? Just so i don't have to make a new drive in a few days/weeks/months when you get everything up and running

Shouldnt checksumming be possible to enable on large chunks for those with really high speeds? (1 gbit here!) Seems like you are making choices for the user, which might not be ideal at all customers. Instead you should just add a warning message for when it is selected so that the user is made aware of the requirements (or estimated requirements) Love the larger chunks, but have to be able to verify the data of course!

They are working on getting stuff going with Amazon atm. Just give it some time and we are most likely getting stuff running at production speeds.
