1. Sorry I have asked about this before. I cannot get my daughthers PC to initial backup because of slow speed. It takes 24 hours to get to 16% with just 300-400GB of data. Ran resmon.exe on both her PC and server. Both getting internet speed od 10mbs but the server is only writing?downloading less than 100KB/s. Most of the time way below that. Don't know what is going on. I'm reay to do a clean server install and ditch Stablebit but don't want to if that's not the proble. There has to be some solution here. Please help. Thanks Here is the server ">http:// Here is the PC ">http://
2. Two nights in a row with a good backup. I'll do what you suggested and let you know the results. Thanks
3. I just looked in the Dashboard and the files are gone. I guess the game had to be initially run to complete the setup which somehow allowed it to be backed up. A lesson learned. There were more than double the amount of files showing before I started the game and actually ran it.
4. Don't ask exactly what happened but it worked last night. Backup started 1:43 and ended 4:24. This time I actually played the game Wolfenstein (file that was not backing of 45 GB) for a bit to get it running and configured. Maybe that corrected some files that needed to be run to be able to allow them to be backed up(some type of authentication by Steam?). I guess a 2hour 45 minute backup is normal when an extra 45 GB was backed up. I did notice that a couple of check boxes where unchecked in the Wolfenstein folder even when I had checked the main folder. I checked the main check box the checked the boxes of the unchecked file folders. Don't know what they are exactly as they showed 2 periods next to them. Ill try to get you a picture of what I mean. Thanks again for all your help. Hopefully this is corrected.
5. The writer class ID{e8132975-6f93-4464-a53e-1050253ae220} on the VSS error is the same exact # 2 nights in a row from what I checked so far. Is it a specific file (Wolfenstein or something in the folder) causing this? Thanks
6. Getting NTFS File Sysytem Driver error. It says severity normal. Ill try to get some screen shots. I don't get an actual error in the Widows Server log. It just says job started then states when I stop it. I have some logs also. Log #4 is interesting. Shows a VSS error in Windows application log.. 7. No good. With Wolfenstein program set to backup stalled at 83% again. Could it be some copyright on the game program stopping it? I had a flight sim game years ago X-Plane that had the same problem. I simply left it unchecked. May have to do the same here. Still bothers me that we can't figure this out. Thanks for your help. I'm open to any other ideas you may have.
8. Thanks. Enabled the IO Boost. Ill try the backup tonight with the Staem program "Wolfenstein" enabled for backup and see what happens. If it still does not get any better I'll disable all the checksum and offloads for IP4 and IP6
9. Thanks you've been a big help and I appreciate it. I'll try these things tomorrow and let you know how it goes. I see there are multiple checksum and offload categories for both IP4 and IP6. I would assume IP4 is used so disable all of them for IP4 and leave IP6 alone? Can't find I/O Boost option? Thanks again.
10. Thanks. How to I fix this? I tried "Devices by connection". It does not show the HDD's. What should I be looking for? I also just realized I had the wireless enabled but not connected to my network. Maybe that was causing a problem as it is connected by an AV power line RJ-45 cable
11. Running WHS 2011 with Drivepool. Backups are extremely slow when new data is added to client. Is there something wrong with the double channels in device manager?? I have 2 ATA 0's and 2 ATA 1 channels on the server. Really like to send a picture. Again I can't upload images. Says only 35 kb allowed??
12. Thanks. Ill be away until Monday so Ill let you know in a day or two.
13. Yes it shows the multiple backups on the same date and now last night it correctly only ran a single backup. Driving me crazy!! Sorry about size. Won't let me upload anything larger than 82KB
14. I added some screen shots to help. Dont know what "ad in install" running every hour is.
15. That's OK dbailey75. I appreciate the time and help. Thanks
