A couple drives failed in quick succession, haven't been able to replace them. I think I need to disable duplication until I get some new drives to fix the pool.
Will DP un-duplicate everything if I turn duplication off? That would give me drive space I need until I get some new drives.

ended up being a problem with windows. as per alex i ended up doing a "refresh". have to reinstall all programs, but scanner works after the refresh and reinstall.

worked swimmingly. had problems getting windows to see the drives in the 8 drive enclosure, but got that sorted. installed drivepool and the pool came up quickly.
