  1. I have SSDs, and then on-machine disks, and them more remote disks. It would be nice if there was an additional tier of "archive", where brand new files are on SSD. Then moved to the "medium" speed archive, and oldest (and least likely to be consumed) content is on the "really archived" disks.
  2. When scanning a new drive, scanner constantly scans until the drive is fully scanned, this could be several days. Then, it mostly sits idle for the 30/60/90 days until the scan expires. Then several more days of constant scanning. A great feature would be to calculate how many sectors per day/hour need to be scanned in order to make it back around to the oldest scanned sector before it expires, and pace the scanner in order to meet that schedule. If the scanner falls behind, due to being offline or throttled, it can increase the blocks/day dynamically to make it back to the oldest block in time. Possible easy implementation : In the "mark all sectors as good" menu, have an option to mark them as good, but not all with the same dates.
  3. I recently purchased a Terramaster C5-300 DAS. I put 1 new 12tb drive into it, along with several old 1tb drives. It is currently connected via USB (not 3 I think, I need to get a new cable so I can go C to C) Stablebit scanner says smart info is not available. I have tried turning on unsafe mode, and it still says unavailable. But CrystalDiskInfo can read smart data for all of the drives. When grouping by controller, stablebit lists the controller as : Intel 5 Series/C200 Seiries Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller 1C26 Running latest scanner (2.6.3.3969) Just came across the testing tool from the compatibility thread Using ScsiMiniportPortDriver shows the "General" section green. The WMI sectino all red. And the 3rd section shows SMART status/attributes/thresholds green, but power and error red. ScsiPassthrough shows top greed, WMI red. attributes/threshholds/error green. status/power red. scsipassthroug48 shows the same. Using the "USB" checkbox instead of direct method is same.
