  1. I dont understand shadow copies and control system. I don't recall those options anywhere. Is that in Drive pool? And I can't just leave it because the files are taking up 8 TB of space.
  2. Yes, in my private message with you I mentioned a random sub-folder in the Volume Information folder. I tried to delete it, but it seemed to come right back after I deleted it. So, how do I get rid of it? Should I remove the drive from the pool and format the drive before adding it back to the pool?
  3. @Christopher (Drashna) I tried re-measuring multiple times and it's still not picking up the "other" space. I imagine I at least need to install the update and reboot since I'm on version 2.2.5, although I'm a little nervous doing that since all the trouble started when I rebooted after a Windows update. So, I'm interested to hear your recommendations before I try anything else.
  4. Sorry for posting in an old thread, but I seem to have the exact same problem. I have 2 drives that have this issue. They were marked as missing and when DrivePool finally picked them up again, they had a big chunk of Other space that is just not showing up anywhere and I can't see the files that are taking up the space. Here's one example: Windows says there's 858 GB free of a 9 TB drive. When I look at the properties of the PoolPart it says it's only 306 GB. This matches what DrivePool is reporting as duplicated. The Other space can't be accessed at all. My missing files must be on there somewhere. How do I get access to the missing files? Should I run this procedure? 5. I'm having a similar problem except that I don't have any Old PoolParts that show up on my drives with "Other" data. Unfortunately, it seems I've lost thousands of files. Since I didn't format the drives though, i can't understand where the files went. They should still be on the drive, but they just aren't showing up even though I'm viewing all the hidden files. I can't figure out how to fix this to get the files to appear, assuming they are still on the disk. It seems they are, but if they are, why can't I see them?
  6. I can't exactly pinpoint what happened, but I seem to be missing a lot of files now. I shut down my PC and added my 4 backup drives which are part of a Backup pool, and when I booted up a whole bunch of drives were marked as missing. I shut down and removed the backup drives and then booted back up and all of my other drives were found. The drives marked as missing though seemed to have some issues and I had to remove 1 of them from the pool and re-add. I didn't notice it at the time, but now I'm seeing that there are random files missing from my pool, possibly related to the drives that were temporarily marked as missing. I didn't format any of those missing drives before they were picked back up by DrivePool, but somehow I've still lost data. I don't quite understand it. Anyone have any idea how my files disappeared and how I can get them back?
