  2. Because I had several unused SSD a while back I set them up as cache drives. But like the title suggest I am wondering if there is any official or anecdotal benefit from using more than one SSD or if you'll do just as well to use a single SSD. Also these are traditional 2.5" SATA drives and not NVMe or any of the m.2 varieties. Thanks in advance for your help. Update: I _think_ I may have unintentionally stumbled upon a scenario that suggests multiple SSD is a good thing. I'm removing several spinning drives and that process appears to be making much more distributed use of multiple SSD than any of my normal usage.
