	For test purposes i installed stablebit cloudrive on server 2025.

<p>
	I can connect to my minio s3 server ok , but when i try to create a drive i get error "When DisablePayloadSigning is true, the request must be sent over HTTPS"

	How can I bypass this error?

<p>
	PS: I tried edit advanced settings and put DisablePayloadSigning = false. This did not work. What are the accepted values for these fields?

	Hello, I have a pretty simple OneDrive business account setup in CloudDrive. It has been working well. When I originally configured it, I set the CloudDrive size to 800GB, using a 1TB OneDrive business account. My idea was to hold 200GB OneDrive storage back for non CloudDrive data.
</p>

<p>
	OneDrive just alerted me that my entire 1TB storage was used. I only have the CloudDrive folder, nothing else. CloudDrive is showing "Cloud Used: 279 GB". How have I reached my 1TB storage limit, when CloudDrive says I'm well under the 800 GB usage? My OneDrive recycle bin is empty. I do not have duplication enabled. What am I missing?

	Thanks!

	This is almost certainly my own error, and part of the problem may be that I can't find the exact words to describe the problem.
</p>

<p>
	I have gradually been moving some local storage into the CloudDrive framework, because it's on a second networked machine, and I wanted to use DrivePool.
</p>

<p>
	I run 3 different DrivePools, and it's taken me a bit of organising and reorganising to get the right drives in the right pool. I think that's where things may have gone wrong.
</p>

<p>
	Situation:
</p>

<p>
	I have a physical HDD, mounted on its host machine as W:\.
</p>

<p>
	On my CloudDrive host machine, I have created a 4TB File Share Cloud Drive on the network share of that drive, named Cloud-SS-W. I have mounted that drive locally as C:\MountCloudW, so I can browse to it.
</p>

<p>
	CloudDrive says that Cloud-SS-W has 3.15TB 'Cloud used'. This makes sense to me, given the data that I believed was on it.
</p>

<p>
	When I browse to W:\ in the filesystem of the drive's host machine, it has 3.15TB of files in a StableBit Cloud Share Data folder.
</p>

<p>
	When I browse to C:\MountCloudW in the filesystem of the CloudDrive host machine, it says it has 4TB free, and no files beyond the Recycle Bin and System Volume Information system folders.
</p>

<p>
	How do I recover the files that have been chunked by CloudDrive, and are sitting in the Cloud Share Data folder? The attachment and metadata files are still there too, along with 32999 100MB part1-chunk-###.dat files
</p>

	I'm a new StableBit user. I've been pretty pleased with the ability to combine multiple drives on windows. I digress.
</p>

<p>
	I'm looking at CloudDrive and I am trying to understand it's limitations. To my understanding you're able to upload your data in StableBit to whatever provider you chose? Basically a cloud backup of your data?
</p>

<p>
	I was curious if I could do the other way around? I basically want my Dropbox Data to be synced/stored locally? Since I can't mount Dropbox to a StableBit drive, I thought I could do something similar with CloudDrive?
</p>

<p>
	Help me understand, thanks!

	Hi I recently installed the drivepool trial to test it out.  I setup some drives and added data.
</p>

<p>
	Then I added some more drives and started a larger file transfer. I accidentally kicked out the power during this transfer and ever since then, the combined drive is extremely slow to the point of being non functional.  Simply clicking a folder takes 10 minutes to load.
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		Both windows task manager and drivepool (under performance) show no utilization during the lag period.
	</li>
	<li>
		Windows event manager doesn't show anything.
	</li>
	<li>
		Ran checkdesk on all drives and it seems fine.
	</li>
	<li>
		I did notice that drivepool shows 'checking' on the bottom window.
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	The drives work speedy and completely fine when browsing the hidden drivepool folder, it's only slow when using drivepool.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any suggestions/logs?

	Howdy - So I was trying to load up CloudDrive to add another cloud share on my PC, and I was getting an error where it wouldn't connect, so I checked services and sure enough it wasn't running.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Tried to run it, got <img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2984" data-ratio="47.67" width="386" alt="image.png.3c307279034c5ec74bd64def71b5fa29.png" src="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2025_01/image.png.3c307279034c5ec74bd64def71b5fa29.png" />
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	thought okay, let me try and repair it - no dice. Hangs. Also this error <img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2985" data-ratio="35.50" width="400" alt="image.png.26c28ccf998d7b282f372b8521367017.png" src="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2025_01/image.png.26c28ccf998d7b282f372b8521367017.png" />
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've gone through tons of troubleshooting regarding the policies, added my local account and all admin accounts with permissions - nothing works.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I simply cannot CloudDrive to work. DrivePool and Scanner - no issues.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	CloudDrive is simply impossible to install.  The frustrating thing is the SHUTDOWN service installs and runs just fine, and I don't have an explanation to that.

	So as per the subject, I am currently trying to use my spare PC to set up as a drivepool to offload some of the weight currently stuck to my Synology NAS, I have a very basic one but considering I have the space to add at least 3 HDs from old NAS units into this PC, I'd like to do that.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	However, trying to add the Synology drives is sure not as straightforward as I thought and while I'm fairly technically inclined, I've reached a wall regarding things such as ISCSI and using CloudDrive to access the network storage.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I currently have 16tb of JBOD on my synology nas.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I want to be able to include that into my Drivepool so that the data is seen there.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I want to be able to have all of my currently stored media to show up in this pool.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've set up CloudDrive and that seemed like it would be super easy, added the entirety of my media folder into there, but I could not in any way create a mounted drive that would show me all the items I have stored there, and I'm left befuddled to say the least.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Can you help with this? I'd really, really like to get this going.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Where I stand now: I "created" a new drive in CloudDrive but the storage options did not make sense and still don't, and I'm left now with a random 10GB share. The whole point was to have my existing media available in my Drivepool, not create cordoned off spaces that aren't easily accessible directly from my Synology or my Pi which is what I use to manage the different "Arr" systems.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Hope you can provide a bit of guidance. To say the instructions on the "file Share" within CloudDrive are leaving me a little confused is an understatement, it's lacking so much information that I'm left even more confused.
</p>

	I have four OneDrive accounts that I want to merge using CloudDrive and DrivePool.
</p>

<p>
	I have found that OneDrive has some limitations, such as the following:
</p>

<p>
	1. The number of characters allowed in a file or folder name is limited to 400 characters, including the full path (file and folder structure). With encryption enabled, the length of the name increases, which could potentially exceed this limit.
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	2. OneDrive tends to experience performance issues when there are more than 50,000 files in a directory. After this limit, access to the files may not run optimally, which could cause delays or syncing issues. The default file size that CloudDrive creates is 10MB. For 1TB of storage, the total number of files would be approximately 100,000, calculated as 1,000,000MB / 10MB = 100,000.
</p>

<p>
	I’m not sure if there are any other limitations I should consider before setting up CloudDrive and DrivePool. Is there any guidance or optimal configuration recommendations for using OneDrive with CloudDrive and DrivePool?
</p>

	Hello, we are currently testing CloudDrive with Google Cloud Storage, I must say it works excellent, we have it in trial mode and we are about to acquire the licenses. However, we have been uploading a lot of information to GCP, they are relatively small files, but we have noticed that when uploading such a quantity of information constantly, downloads are registered when I am actually uploading information, this produces extra costs since in the cloud it is registered as data output, does anyone know if this is normal or is there a way to avoid it?

	I have a drivepool made up of 3 clouddrives. Two of them are connected to 2 separate Onedrive accounts and the 3rd is with a different provider. There is no duplication on this drivepool.
</p>

<p>
	The 2 drives on Onedrive had their quotas reduced while I wasn't looking, so they both are over-quota and as such are limited to read-only. I added the 3rd drive to the pool expecting that I could remove the 2 Onedrive clouddrives and eveything would move to the 3rd clouddrive.  Unfortunately, both Oneddrive clouddrives have 100's of GBs on the cache drive pending upload. This makes it so I can't remove either of the drives because drivepool wants to write the removed files to the other Onedrive clouddrive. I thought clicking the pause button on the drive would force the files to the new drive, but the pause doesn't work - it lights up for a split second then goes away.<br />
	I've also tried detaching the cloud drives, but get a message that "they'll detach as soon as we upload that 100 GB that's pending upload" or something like that.
</p>

<p>
	I'm kind of stuck. Any thoughts on a way to get these read-only drives out of the pool so that the pool is writeable again?
</p>

	This post will outline the steps necessary to create your own Google Drive API key for use with StableBit CloudDrive. With this API key you will be able to access your Google Drive based cloud drives after May 15 2024 for <strong>data recovery purposes</strong>.
</p>

<p>
	Let's start by visiting <a href="https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard" rel="external nofollow">https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard</a>
</p>

<p>
	You will need to agree to the Terms of Service, if prompted.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileext="png" data-fileid="2855" href="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/0.png.d36cbeae105a9f276688122b0f161702.png" rel=""><img alt="0.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2855" data-ratio="56.17" data-unique="mskmqfa0j" style="width: 600px; height: auto;" width="1000" src="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/0.thumb.png.f0f48ff839e41cff0d25705f99125b59.png"></a>
</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileext="png" data-fileid="2856" href="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/0.1.png.7a9444297aca7273c2a658ff4da6831e.png" rel=""><img alt="0.1.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2856" data-ratio="31.17" data-unique="8llto84vl" style="width: 600px; height: auto;" width="1000" src="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/0.1.thumb.png.0447ba44dc56bb1787c08c8544e6073a.png"></a>
</p>

<p>
	If you're prompted to create a new project at this point, then do so. The name of the project does not matter, so you can simply use the default.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileext="png" data-fileid="2849" href="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/1.png.fe3e2a55285ae6659816bb3ff4e51c7e.png" rel=""><img alt="1.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2849" data-ratio="64.00" data-unique="pst42j3kf" style="width: 600px; height: auto;" width="1000" src="https://community.covecube.com/uploads/monthly_2024_05/1.thumb.png.1fbccf795a94f1c547766e3ca74eeaa5.png"></a>

</p>

<p>
	You will now be presented with your <strong>Client ID</strong> and <strong>Client Secret</strong>. Save both of these to a <strong>safe place</strong>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Finally, we will configure StableBit CloudDrive to use the credentials that you've been given.
</p>

<p>
	Open <strong>C:\ProgramData\StableBit CloudDrive\ProviderSettings.json</strong> in a text editor such as <strong>Notepad</strong>.
</p>

<p>
	Find the snippet of JSON text that looks like this:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode prettyprint lang-javascript prettyprinted" id="ips_uid_2490_34" style=""><span class="str">"GoogleDrive"</span><span class="pun">:</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="pun">{</span><span class="pln">
    </span><span class="str">"ClientId"</span><span class="pun">:</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="kwd">null</span><span class="pun">,</span><span class="pln">
    </span><span class="str">"ClientSecret"</span><span class="pun">:</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="kwd">null</span><span class="pln">
</span><span class="pun">}</span></pre>

<p>
	Replace the <strong>null </strong>values with the credentials that you were given by Google surrounded by double quotes.
</p>

<p>
	So for example, like this:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode prettyprint lang-javascript prettyprinted" id="ips_uid_2490_36" style=""><span class="str">"GoogleDrive"</span><span class="pun">:</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="pun">{</span><span class="pln">
    </span><span class="str">"ClientId"</span><span class="pun">:</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="str">"MyGoogleClientId-1234"</span><span class="pun">,</span><span class="pln">
    </span><span class="str">"ClientSecret"</span><span class="pun">:</span><span class="pln"> </span><span class="str">"MyPrivateClientSecret-4321"</span><span class="pln">
</span><span class="pun">}</span></pre>

<p>
	Save the <strong>ProviderSettings.json </strong>file and <strong>restart your computer</strong>. Or, if you have no cloud drives mounted currently, then you can simply restart the <strong>StableBit CloudDrive</strong> system service.
</p>

<p>
	Once everything restarts you should now be able to connect to your Google Drive cloud drives from the <strong>New Drive</strong> tab within StableBit CloudDrive as usual. Just click <strong>Connect...</strong> and follow the instructions given.
</p>

	I've heard and  know that it is safe to clean re-install the windows without touching anything of stablebit drivepool
</p>

<p>
	(It should detect my pool and drives as soon as I re-install the stablebit drivepool on the new windows)
</p>

<p>
	I know it but I haven't tried it myself yet, so I want to be certain that's the reason why I am writing this post here
</p>

<p>
	my situation is like this
</p>

<p>
	1.My Windows c:\ drive is not part of pool (Obviously !)
</p>

<p>
	2.I will not attach a new drive or detach a new drive before and during the installation process
</p>

<p>
	3.My actual system is running on windows 10, I am willing to clean-install windows 11
</p>

<p>
	4.I've named my windows drive to "Windows 10 drive" so there is no way that I will make a mistake and wipe the wrong drive
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In this situation after clean reinstalling windows 11 and then installing drivepool again it will recognize the pool and my drives right ?
</p>

<p>
	that's my first question and lastly should I remove the license of drivepool before wiping ? or is it safe to keep ?
</p>

<p>

	I destroyed a Google drive a couple of days ago - the used storage on the drive started at about 16TB, it's dropped down to 6.5TB however it's been stuck there for the last 12 hours so it seems that it's stuck. Is there anything I can do? I can't delete the chunks manually obviously! Thanks/

	Hi all, since the last update i've been noticing the stablebit cloud drive service using 100% cpu regularly, the only way i found to stop it is to terminate the service.
</p>

<p>
	the app is throwing some errors regarding having trouble uploading to onedrive, but when i re-authorize it seems to be ok.
</p>

<p>
	any ideas?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	did some more testing, the 100% cpu issue seems related to problems with onedrive (although probably a bug in Stablebit cloud drive because a problem with onedrive shouldn't lead to 100% cpu use), i tried reauthoriing, the web page opens up, says it's ok, but shortly after i get an error from onedrive saying it can't upload, there is no space, i check the one drive, plenty of free space, no problem there.

	Hello, <br />
	<br />
	I'm in the final steps of getting all my data out of my Google Drive due to their policy changes.
</p>

<p>
	I have one drive where I have activated "automatic unlock". Unfortunaly the Cache is on my C drive which does not hold enough free space (since "to upload" gets larger all the time). <br />
	How can I remove the saved key?<br />
	Changing the Cachefolder is impossible without reattaching the drives. Correct? Any other "hacks" I might try?
</p>

<p>
	My second question would be if there are any proposed ways to get everything out?
</p>

<p>
	Regards<br />

	Now dropbox also announced that they will remove their unlimited plan.
</p>

<p>
	This of course affects a lot of us!
</p>

<p>
	Thank god im using box.com, but I like to have my things duplicated at two providers!
</p>
