Google Drive: Drives are gone

Christopher (Drashna)

Question

Due to an issue with how the API pool for the newer builds were implemented, if you used the 1.0.0.769 build, you may run into an issue where all of the drives on Google Drive "disappear".

The issue is due to a permissions scope change, and was IMMEDIATELY fixed (1.0.0.770).

(this is why we don't recommend downloading the latest build, but the second numbered build.

This most likely won't affect most people, but just in case...

If you experience this, check your Google Drive account.

If you see a "StableBit CloudDrive" folder, check it's contents.

Most likely, it will be empty (which is the problem). Rename this folder to something else (eg "StableBit CloudDrive (error)".

Then check the "Trash" on the provider.  You will see either a "StableBit CloudDrive" folder there, as well, or you may see "CloudPart.xxxxx" folders.

In either case, restore these folders.

Once you've done this, refresh the list in StableBit CloudDrive (click the circle/refresh icon next to the account name), and you should immediately see your drives.
