You can download the windows 10 connector software from Microsoft direct then it works the version built into server es2012 does not work well with 10

Not getting any problems joining new machines using either the built in connector or the downloaded version even removing existing machine's work fine

Make sure you've installed all the updates for the server, including select "Optional" updates. 

 

Specifically, install this on the server:

That said, the domain stuff requires that the DNS servers be properly configured, and the DHCP servers to be configured to hand out the server as the primary DNS server. 

 

The connector software does this automatically, but the "stock" one has issues.
