  1. Can someone help me with what is acceptable amount of Current Pending and Uncorrectable sectors. 8TB Seagate Archive drive one with 3288 sectors in Current and Unrecoverable and another with 322 sectors.
  2. I have a USB3 4 Bay older Orico external bay works no issues but new once NS800U3 lists drives under name as JMicron Generic DISK0X USB Device each one starting at DISK00 to DISK07. All the smart Data seems fine including drive model number. Scanner V2.5.1.3062. I realise you can rename them manually but would be good if you could look into this. Also if it interests anyone The enclosure runs a lot hotter after 30 min or minimal activity I get temp alerts. Temperature runs at 46 Deg C compared to 37 Deg C compared to older enclosure for same model 8TB Seagate drive, I bumped the alerts up to 48 Deg. Not sure what the max recommended temp is but clearly these enclosures just are not very efficient cooling. It only has 5 drives out of 8 in so far. About half the volume of air coming out of rear compared to older 4 Bay Orico.
  3. Thanks I've worked out out now, I used it when it was Google apps and the pricing structure was a bit different. It actually simpler now. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah I can see a lot of refugees from ACD heading straight to gsuite and suddenly Google will start enforcing terms of service. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  5. If you get the 5 accounts for $50 a year each can't you just pay $10 per month for one account unlimited data or does that cost go on each account? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  6. Wouldn't Google drive be a better option or do you think the business accounts will stop offering unlimited? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  7. Well Amazon have killed unlimited now, I wonder if others will follow. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Well Amazon have killed unlimited now wonder if others will follow. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah I take your point you have to find 4 people who trust me or I trust and yeah as I don't run a business anymore and have lifetime chronic illness I don't have many real life friends and none interested in this. So if you did get 5 users at $50 x5 you could have the unlimited option. Would just $10 on one account and have multiple drives or would each user have to pay $10 per month using Google drive drive. Would be a no brainer before I had to stop work at 33 years old and eventually shut down my business. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  9. Why would Google close an account sold on eBay, oh did a Google search that's risky buying University and business accounts that the organisation and Google can shut down. I hope no one here did that as you will be on borrowed time. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  10. My understanding to get unlimited account for Google drive option is only available to G Suite which requires a minimum of 5 paid accounts at $50 a year. You then have an option of $10 per month for unlimited drive space. Given this I'm happy to supply a domain if I can get 4 or 5 other people to share expense of a 5 account would 30+ TB and grow over time be reasonable use or does Google truely supply unlimited storage? Is Google drive very reliable? Can you have more than one drive per email account? Are there any other people here interested in joining up to share costs? Anyone see problems with this plan? Are there any other affordable unlimited or huge storage services that are reliable as clearly I ACD is not interested in this party party storage applications. How safe would my data be, I want to put all my Plex video on plus data backup. Most storage would be for Plex. Thanks Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  11. I don't see any future in ACD Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

  13. Christopher I recently had to try and find a drive with problems and was in format \Device\HarddiskVolume it was a lot of messing around using diskpart then I had to add drive letters to find out the drive eventually. Can you add a column in Scanner that shows either the Label so you don't have to allocate a drive letter to every drive or can you get info for \Device\HarddiskVolume into scanner column. Currently it is not intuitive and difficult to find the drive with problems with Scanner from the event log. I had messages like Volume \\?\Volume{2f02bdf1-0fa7-4adf-9bfd-2b630bfc0e39} (\Device\HarddiskVolume6) requires an Online Scan. An Online Scan will automatically run as part of the next scheduled maintenance task. Alternatively you may run "CHKDSK /SCAN" locally via the command line, or run "REPAIR-VOLUME <drive:> -SCAN" locally or remotely via PowerShell. It wasn't Disk 6 as the HarddiskVolume won't match because there are often more than one volume per drive like your C:\ I have found it is best with drives in a pool not to have drive letters to avoid mistakes inadvertently messing with DrivePool. Maybe I am misunderstanding how to interpret the information and it is in Scanner.
  14. Fredrick, they are a very talented and smart group of programmers the problem seems that in summary that Amazon drive are isolated from the excellent Amazon S3 team and they keep Channing the rules. I think their idea of unlimited is different to ours. I don't believe the concept was well thought out and the team is not up to the task at Amazon drive. All other Amazon services I have touched are well recorded and professional. That's not what I see with the drive term. Find give friends and share a Google apps account and the unlimited data add-on. That's what I would do if I had 5 people who I knew who trusted me and would use the service. As true unlimited broadband is not common in Australia at high speeds is only stuff most people could dream of even if they had unlimited storage. I assume Google apps drive unlimited is reliable. 15. I think it's clear it's not reliable, have you read all the posts. Amazon's are not interested or helpful as far as I could read and even Plex dropped support Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
