    Hiya, I'm still getting constant heat warning emails even though the notification setting has been disabled. I don't want to disable the email feature completely as I'd like notifications of the other checks. Is there anyway to stop these? Cheers, Jon

    I appreciate that you have your reasons on what to support or not, it's just a shame that all my main drives don't get the monitoring I was expecting. Regarding the disk display, in this case there is only one physical disk per array so identifying and displaying wouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the response though, I'm glad to see a support forum actually supporting

    I see that HDSentinel can read the SMART data okay from all of the disks though, so it does seem possible.

    Okay thanks for the info, that helps. About the beta, is it safe to use as I can't risk losing the data, which is why i'm trying to sort this backup out? cheers.

    I'm also trying to get the SMART data working on my Gen8, was there any update on this? I spent quite sometime getting my microserver setup to use RAID0 rather than AHCI so really do not want to have to go back. Cheers.

    Wouldn't backing up the disks separately result in duplicated file copies as files are balanced amongst the pool? Also I don't use file duplication but I assume that would be an issue as well? Looks like I'll be better off looking for an alternative backup tool. Cheers, Jon
