That's OK! I really only did it because I needed to put a bigger HD in the server anyway so I cloned the 8.1 drive to a new SSD and then performed the upgrade on the bigger drive. Updated my server to windows 10. Had a backup of the OS just in case (needed to upgrade to a bigger SSD anyway). Everything worked absolutely perfectly. 24 HDs, 34TB of storage (2 eSATA external enclosures). Lots could have gone wrong but it worked without incident. Ah, I see. It's really just a matter of "do you have enough space". Cool! I certainly do so I am glad I'm not missing anything. DP plus online backup for the MOST critical stuff like family photos and movies is just about as safe and secure as it gets!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cool. My pool has lots of ripped DVDs and Blu Rays and LOTS of home movie files (digitized VHS tapes from years gone by). So, mostly larger files. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think I may have created a new user name when signing in on my phone. Ah well. Here is the tricky part. The recycle bin is empty and I can not find any of those files on the pool drive. Is it possible that they are remnants on an individual drive separate from the pool? (Ie a drive that is connected to the pool, but these hidden files are somehow remnants of their use before being put on the pool?). That's my problem. If I could find these files I know how to change permissions, etc. I'll do the log when I get back to the server.
