Hi - I've installed the Win 10 'Fall' update. Now when I start or restart my PC I get an error message telling me a drive is disconnected from the pool. When I check they are all there. I have Drivepool running on 3 PCs - so I check them all. They all appear OK. Is this a bug?

When I've had file ownership troubles in the past a little program (freeware) from Winaero called TakeOwnership has been extremely helpful. It doesn't help work out what the problem was - but it has always fixed it for me.

I recently purchased a power supply and sata to usb connector. It did not cost much from ebay. It allows me to connect a hard drive when there is no physical bay left. It is ideal in this sort of scenario because you can connect it externally, add to the pool, then remove an internal drive from the pool. When all that is done, pop open the case take out the internal drive and add the one you had on the usb connector. Start up and all is well!

I would simply use the pool and ignore raid. Once you have added a physical disk to the pool you use disk manager and remove its drive letter. It behaves just the same in the pool but doesn't show in explorer.

I use SyncToy and create scheduled task for it.
